Cross-training Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! Having family 4000 miles away in England means Mother's day is a phone call away so it was a pleasant surprise to see that the gym was practically empty this morning as I rolled up to do my cross training swim for the day. The best part about swimming the day after my long run is that I get to sit in the hot tub when I'm done and the steam room which is so relaxing I never feel like leaving.
My cross training is always really light so today I spent about 10 minutes on front crawl split into legs only, arms only and then some laps with both, followed by a similar split for breast stroke and finishing with back stroke for the last 10 minutes. Then it's 30 minutes split between the hot tub and the steam room. Time to watch baseball, enjoy my burrito and finish off some work.
