Painful omission

I don't know how I managed to forget this yesterday when reporting the success of my run but I experienced my first jogger's nipple injury. It didn't hurt while I was running but as I stood in front of the mirror waiting for the elevator to my apartment floor I noticed a large, gross, red patch on my shirt where my nipple was… Upon further inspection the said area had been chafed to the point of bleeding during my run with the other looking close to bleeding too.
Melissa suggested an anti-chafing stick you can buy at sports stores but does anyone have any experience of these things? Would it be easier or better to use a band-aid or would a technical t-shirt make a difference? Any suggestions desperately appreciated – please leave a comment.
