Recovering well

I am recovering well after the 16 mile run on Saturday, both physically and mentally. Melissa and my sister offered valuable perspective that if I have to do the same thing on race day, at least I have some ideas to make sure I finish. My recovery yesterday was hampered by a night on the town with some friends at the Taste of Randolph festival after the USA v Italy soccer match. Today my legs feel good and I should be fine for Yoga tonight. I also got a good lie in this morning which always helps. An interesting side effect of my running is that I've lost about 13 pounds while training so far despite trying to eat enough to aid recovery. At this rate, I should be in the best shape of my life when I walk down the aisle in September, and even beter, perfect shape to lounge around on a beach in Greece!
