Run together on Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day, do something healthy for yourself and your partner! Since tomorrow is a Tuesday, you may not be able to run a race with your significant other. But why not go for a run together and enjoy a healthy meal afterwards? Check out the events calendar to see if there's a race this upcoming weekend that you want to run together.

If you and your significant other run at different paces, it may be nice to run together for a change. This time can be used to talk or reconnect.

Have kids? Don't let that stop you! When I was a nanny, I'd get asked to come at 6 am sometimes while the kids were asleep, so a couple could run together. Schedule a sitter today so you can have some time with your significant other tomorrow.

Top the day off with a romantic meal. You can go out to eat, or get creative in the kitchen together!

For single runners

I haven't forgot about all the singles out there! I'm single myself. Just because I'm single doesn't mean I can't treat myself this Valentine's Day.

I'm going to go for a long run in the morning to start my day on a positive note. I also am going to make a delicious dessert, and not feel guilty eating it. Health isn't always your physical well-being, but your emotional well-being. This year, I am certain a red velvet cupcake will put my emotional well-being in check ;). Valentine's Day is often focused on couples. There's plenty for singles to do as well. Perhaps check out a new trail you've been wanting to run on. Call up your single friends, and see if they want to go to yoga, or on a run with you.

Treat yourself or your significant other to some great running gear this Valentine's Day! These are items any runner would love.
